Services details:
AmericanVRS provides Video Relay services to the deaf and hard of hearing who communicate through American Sign Language. This service uses a video software client which works over internet. The software is availabe for PC and Mac computers and is downloadable from the website.
Deaf users make a call by using the video software to provide the number they want to dial to a Video Interpreter. The interpreter then calls the hearing party and interprets the entire conversation from ASL to spoken English. Similarly, if a hearing person calls the deaf user, the call is first routed to the Video Interpreter, who then connects to the deaf user and translates English to ASL.
WIth AmericanVRS, you get qualified interpreters 24 hours a day, 7 days week. We support and provide real 10-digit numbers to all VRS customers. Every deaf or hard of hearing user who speaks ASL gets his or her own number to give out to friends, family and associates.
Service is easy and its FREE for the deaf!
